Learn Something New Every Day

Updated: Feb 10, 2021

That phrase is mostly used when people learn something they didn't already know.... as in "huh, ya learn something new everyday". I think I it should be used as an intention.

Learn something new every day.

I feel like that's what I have done since being on the road. I'm now in Deming, NM and I've met a gentleman who is vast well of knowledge and I have truly enjoyed getting to know him and I have "borrowed" many of his ideas to incorporate into my new lifestyle. I hope he doesn't sue me for stealing his great ideas.

So far I have learned how to hang a crate outside one window for Albert (and after I do some modification for Dragon maybe as w

ell) to get out... I think of it as a very mini version of their balcony haha. He told me about the Wave6 catalytic heater (total game changer!) which I've already installed. He also introduced me to a good box wine (Black Box) that's good for the budget and good for sipping over interesting conversation.... and he taught me how to turn the plastic bag it came in into a grocery bag holder! I've learned a bit about silver smithing (Suzy, I thought of you!) which he has taught and about the different types of silver work done by Native Americans. I'm also learning about firearms and had a really fun and educational day shooting targets. I'm a pretty good shot... just sayin.

So, go out and learn something new every day.
