Movin' On from Deming, NM

Hard to believe I'm down to days left in Deming, NM. I ended up staying here close to 2 months. I was planning on staying a month and then heading to Gila National Forest but it was still cold up there so I decided to stay here another month and I'm so glad I did! Even though it's still too cold to head to Gila (more on that later) I have so enjoyed spending time with my new friend Sebastian.

We've shared several wonderful evenings of wine, laughs and conversation as well as a couple of day trip adventures. He's been a wealth of information for off-grid living and safety tips, audio books and movies to download for entertainment when there is no WiFi, local radio stations and shows to catch on FM stations. He moves to the beat of his own drum and I've enjoyed listening to his rhythm. He also has a blog and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading that. One of many delightful things I found was a link to a YouTube video of a live performance of Pavarotti and Tracy Chapman singing "Baby Can I Hold You Tonight". I had no idea! You can check it out for yourself here https://youtu.be/qQdnl0_IuRg

I will miss the chats and the laughs but leave with many great memories and advice for simpler living and travel. Speaking of Simple Living and Simple Travel you should check out his blog. It's best to start from the beginning and follow his travels chronologically.

As I said earlier, plans have changed and I'm not heading to Gila due to it still being too cold so I'm now headed to Bisbee, AZ (recommended by Sebastian and you can read all about it in his Back To Bisbee blogging) for a bit to explore that area and then up to Tombstone. I'm also going to check out Quartzite and Sedona and then head to the north rim of the Grand Canyon. After that I'm headed to Utah although I don't yet have all of the locations and timing of that yet. I seem to do fine with last minute planning. :)

I'm not sure about WiFi connection at my next location but I will update the blog when I'm able. I do know that we are just getting used to the new time change and will change again when we get to Arizona. I haven't told Albert and Dragon yet.....

Until next time, keep Movin' On.
